New Free Trial Websites and Products

You may have noticed some changes here recently with Innovign, both design and product-wise.

We’ve changed some of the navigation to include a couple new items:

2. Products & Pricing

We’ve been receiving many e-mails about our real estate websites, but not so much in particular about any features, just various basic questions about websites in general. Overall, there seems to be a large interest in marketing online and how to create a site that can become the center piece for their real estate marketing endeavours.

Free Trials

For this reason and more, we’ve added our new real estate website Free Trial package. This package will help real estate professionals to understand the benefit and value of having an Innovign real estate site, without actually having to pay for it. The trials last 30 days to help the agent or broker get used to the website and again, understand the value that it brings to them and their company.

Extended IDX Solution for MLS feeds

You may have also noticed under our new Products & Pricing page that we’ve included two new services. One is our Extended MLS IDX search functionality for agent websites. This does two things:

1. Adds a geographic search by Google Map with all MLS listings in your area
2. Integrates your listings on your own subdomain for better search engine optimization.

The first is critical because it helps visitors to your website find the listings they want by geographic search - something that made Trulia popular to begin with.

The second is important because it allows your listings to be indexed. When your listings are indexed, they’ll show up in search engines more, hence more visitors, and ultimately more leads for you!

This Extended IDX though, of course, can be upgraded to at anytime and works seamlessly with your Innovign website.

Custom Solutions

The final product we added was our custom soultions. Not that we’ve never offered any real estate cusotm solutions, but we just wanted to state it and give visitors an easy form to get custom quotes for work on their existing Innovign website, or an entirely new real estate webiste.

Real Estate Web Marketing

Everyone wants to know how to market their webiste and take advantage of Google SERPs (search engine results page). Our next post will be on the interesting dillema of real estate internet and web marketing, what the future may hold, and what type of strategy Innovign might follow through with to provide to new and existing customers.

Words About Hosting and Accounts

I’ve been designing websites for several years now, and one thing that many clients have in common is a general lack of understanding about website hosting. So I’ll briefly go over what it is and the vast differences in hosting services.

Hosting

A website is essentially a group of files, just like a group of word documents. To access these files on the internet, a computer must have them stored and ready to deliver them to your computer, at your request (when you go to the website).

This is what we call the host computer, or basically, your “hosting” service.

The concept is very simple, but the software and hardware used to create your “hosting” service is very complex and is usually handled by a third-party to maximize value, security, and reliability. Prices can range from very cheap to very expensive, depending on the level of quality desired.

Accounts

A website developer has several options available to maintain your website on a host computer, depending on his/her goals, but I will outline the main two here:
